İMDER that was established in 2002, brings together the sectoral subsidiaries of the significant actors of the Turkish Economy like BORUSAN, ÇUKUROVA, E-MAK, ENKA, ERG, GAMA, HİDROMEK, STFA, IŞIKLAR, KOÇ, SABANCI under its roof. The sector that goes back to 75 years, is represented by İMDER members at a scale of over 93%.

The sector that appeals to all fields of investments in infrastructure/superstructure, public works and investments, consists of 2,000 manufacturer companies and 14,000 distributor companies according to TÜİK with 16,000 female and 115,000 male workers reaching to 131,000 in total. The overall employment generated by the sector directly and indirectly sums up to 900,000 with 100,000 operators and users.

Our sector that operates fully towards to investments, carries a total volume of $6.5 Billion turnover with exports to over 130 countries generating $1.1 Billion and the export volume target that is set for 2023 is $10 Billion. In order to reach to this target, the necessary amount of production is $13.8 Billion which requires an investment of $4.5 Billion. Turkey standed as the 4th biggest construction machinery market of Europe and 11th biggest construction machinery market of the world with a total sales amount of 12,645 units in 2016.

World construction machinery industry is one of the key actors of the global economy with an annual turnover of $200 Billion. The total amount of planned investments in our country until 2030 is $1.3 Trillion. It is forecasted that the annual sales figures will reach to 30,000 units by the year 2030 with a fiscal volume of $30 Billion.

Gained the right of use the name of TÜRKİYE in 2007, in accordance with Law No. 5253, with the Interior Ministry’s and all relevant ministries’ approval, İMDER continues to grow with its new valuable members. . IMDER strongly and effectively maintains its activities on both national and international platforms.
