At its core is an e-procurement platform that bundles the portfolio of leading suppliers, thus decisively simplifying and shortening procurement processes. In addition, simple system also supports its customers as a strategic partner in the digital transformation of their purchasing area.

Business

80 million articles from 750 leading suppliers
On the platform of the same name, simple system currently offers its customers a total range of around 80 million articles from 750 leading suppliers in German-speaking countries. The range extends from A for occupational safety to Z for machining technology and also includes services. In addition, simple system has curated over six million items in a Click & Order catalog that covers standard C-parts requirements and through which customers can order ad hoc.

simple system stands for simplicity, efficiency and transparency
simple system was founded in 2000 by the four industrial companies Kaiser + Kraft, Keller & Kalmbach, the Hoffmann Group and Hagemeyer (now Rexel) to bring their product ranges together on a common platform. The aim was to make indirect procurement for customers easier, faster, more transparent and ultimately more efficient for customers. Based on this overarching service concept, the circle of suppliers has been successively expanded to include all major system dealers. Today, 2,000 customers, predominantly from the medium-sized and the manufacturing industry, rely on the neutral platform of simple system. Its server location in Germany also guarantees a high level of data security.

Individual integration into enterprise resource planning and ERP systems
Over the course of time, the innovative tool has been further developed in direct dialog with customers and suppliers, so that today it can be integrated into any enterprise resource planning or ERP system. This also includes, for example, the integration of the company's own supplier conditions and the
existing master data organization. One of the latest innovations on the platform is the simple system Cockpit® - a dashboard that gives buyers a complete overview of the demand situation as well as all approval stages and follow-up processes.

Strategic advisor for digital transformation
The experts at simple system also pass on their many years of experience in procurement to their customers as strategic consultants. The Munich-based company actively supports companies in the digital transformation of their purchasing processes and in the implementation of efficient and agile structures. Even digitally advanced companies benefit from this long-term added value. simple system has been an independent company since 2015 and is managed by Andreas Moser and Markus Decker. Currently, simple system has 25 employees and mediated a turnover of over 140 million euros in 2018.
