BISS d.o.o. is a Croatian private IT company based in Zagreb, which employs about forty top experts in the field of computer systems development, research and implementation of innovative services, integration of personal data protection (based on GDPR regulations), and improvement of business and operational processes to telecommunications service providers.
Some of the company's services are the development of software tailored to customer requirements and needs, implementation of solutions based on our own ideas, improvement of business processes using advanced artificial intelligence concepts, and upgrading existing customer solutions with functionality to protect personal identities.
BISS has achieved continuous growth in revenue and the number of employees and 50 percent of revenue is recorded from exports of services to foreign markets. One of the important goals is to contribute to reducing the outflow of young professionals from Croatia abroad.
At the moment, some of the company's key projects are:
· The Personal Data Protection System (GDPR) was developed for the needs of Croatian Telecom and has been in use since 2018.
· “Green Road” (reduction of CO2 emissions - reduction of CO2 emissions by using traffic flow optimization through rerouting and timely informing drivers about traffic accidents and congestion.) which completed the research phase and applied for funding from the Norwegian grant program to finance the development phase
· Citizens' Safety Improvement Project (SMS Alert) which aims to respond to the requirements of the European Union, which by 2022 wants to implement a public warning system for the protection of citizens
· Parcel delivery management system that has been in the function of DPD Switzerland since 2017
· Reporting system for collecting all types of data for the purpose of improving business decision-making used by the DPD group

OUR SOLUTIONS
GDPR Compliance System
GDPR Compliance System takes care of organization’s compliance for General Data Protection Regulation. System collects, processes, fulfills and logs Data Subject Requests.
Movement analytics
Movement analytics portal visualizes anonymized users on a heatmap paired with user attributes. Source of the geo-spatial information can be massive data produced by mobile network or different process-related data which can be obtained from other sources.
HAVEN Reverse 112
HAVEN enables public safety operators to detect an incident, monitor its progress, prevent emerging threats, protect and inform the people in the affected area and respond by managing the situation or the incident.
Identity Guard
Identity guard is an adjustable set of services that perform data processing in real time. It has been refined in several software generations with the objective to improve system performance and throughput.
Custom software development
Custom software development is our passion, done mostly in Java using open source components and frameworks. Here we follow principles as defined by CleanCode approach and in TOGAF. Our custom solutions run on software infrustructure designed by our Devops team.
GDPR
We have deep knowledge in implementing GDPR solutions and anonymization. Our solutions in this area address privacy properly and consistently accross enterprise, preventing leak of personally identifiable information.
Public safety
Our solutions for location based services in the area of public safety include public alerting system and heatmaps for planning in the case of emergency. This can be viewed as an ideal package for implementing complete Reverse 112 system.
Telco consulting
Telco consulting, developmenat and implementation are our core compentences. We made several mission critical solutions running 24/7 for mobile operator including mobile data provisioning, subscriber database management and IoT.
Big Data
Big data is needed to extract complexities of today's business. We use Hadoop, Spring and Kafka as technology stack in the domain. At the heart of our system is solution for processing, anonymization and data streaming of large amounts of data. One instance of our solution at mobile operator processes 5 billion events per day.
IoT
As IoT is future of mobile data usage we developed and implemented middleware systems for service provisioning and data adaptation. This is basis for efficent IoT devices onboarding and management.
