FTL (Full loads) Complete loads / transports or FTL (Full Trailer Load) are loads where the goods of one shipper occupy the entire cargo space of the truck. Complete loading involves one loading and one unloading point but in some cases may have multiple loading and / or unloading addresses. Complete loads for the client provide the best price per unit of product, have the shortest transit time and are the most common form of transport.

LTL (Groupage)

Groupage or partial loads / transports or LTL (Less Than Truckload) are the most common form of transport that our company deals with. Across the EU we do groupage loads with transit time of up to 7 days. Groupage transport means cargo that, due to its dimensions (length, height, width, weight), does not occupy the entire cargo space in the semi-trailer. Groupage transport is usually more complex than full loading because it involves more detailed and precise planning of cargo distribution in the semi-trailer as well as loading / unloading dates. Special attention should be paid to import customs clearance of goods, given that the BiH Customs Law defines that for groupage shipments, all goods on one vehicle must be cleared at the same customs office, and any possible complications related to customs clearance create large unnecessary additional costs. Mega-Trans d.o.o. offers its clients a complete logistics service which includes complete correspondence with the consignor and harmonization of the type and quantity of goods, details regarding the receipt of goods (working hours, method of loading, references), organization of export and import customs clearance, and all other necessary details for the purpose of quality, fast and economical transportation.

ADR (Transport of dangerous goods)

Dangerous substances include substances and objects that can be a finished product, semi-finished product, intermediate product, by-product, raw materials or waste, and which have the characteristics of dangerous substances, and during transport can endanger human life and health and cause environmental pollution. There are strictly prescribed transport rules for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR), as opposed to the classic transport of goods in international transport. Such transport requires modifications to the vehicles to obtain an ADR license, additional professional training of drivers (passed ADR exam) and additional equipment in the truck - the so-called ADR equipment. ADR transports are subject to special rules and restrictions that include traffic bans on certain roads, announcement to authorized services, driving under a rotating light, special escort through tunnels and protected areas (AT and CH), etc. In the case of international ADR transport, the type of goods must be taken into account in order to be properly directed to the border crossing. Special care should be taken with aggregate / partial ADR loads as the goods under ADR must not be in the same vehicle with a particular type of goods (foodstuffs, textiles, etc.)

COIL TRANSPORT

COIL transport is another type of transport for which we are equipped and trained and we can provide quality service throughout Europe in which we have many years of experience. Coil transport refers to the transport of rolled sheets (coils) that are most commonly used in the metal and automotive industries. For this form of transport, it is necessary to have a semi-trailer with a groove (trough, COIL or MULDA), shields or metal barriers and a suitable anti-slip base for transporting coils (reels) of sheet metal that can weigh up to 25 tonnes and take up little space in the semi-trailer. Due to the specificity of the load, its weight in a small space must be taken into account both during loading and driving so as not to damage the load or the semi-trailer.

FLEET:

In our fleet we have 32 fully equipped vehicles for international transport. 

From that:

29 MEGA vehicles (length 13.6m, width 2.48m, height up to 3.05m)

5 Tandem (JUMBO) vehicles (length 15.4m, width 2.46m, height 3.05m)

Our trailers have the ability to roll the complete tarpaulin and roof as well as move the pillars on the trailer, which is a great advantage for crane loads and goods that are large in width.

We also have a number of vehicles that are COIL versions, specializing in the transport of coil cargo (reels).

Also, all of our vehicles can specialize in the transportation of furniture.

All vehicles have a Cargo Insurance Certificate EN 12642 XL.

All of our vehicles used for international transport are on average up to 4 years old, the engines are EURO 6 standard and have the equipment and the certificate for the transport of dangerous goods.
