PROMEL® Fire and Gas systemsThe experience gained by PROMEL as fire alarm and gas detection systems integrator in the OIL&GAS sector has produced in 1992 the first proprietary firefighting system with hardwired logic, SRI301/602.In 2002 the design and construction of the FGP-04 Fire and Gas detection system, microprocessor based, was started and the first exemplary was delivered in 2004.  Today PROMEL offers to its Customers a complete range of systems suitable to several applications; the systems have reduced dimensions, are reliable and easy to use. Their configuration flexibility and simplicity of access enable to minimize the systems complexity and the hours for installation and start up, always in accord with the most advanced HSE standards and applicable European Laws. The PROMEL’s systems, originally developed for OIL&GAS applications, can be used in RAILWAY  APPLICATIONS, both on board and in stations.

PROMEL® Mechanical Processing Promel s.r.l. has established PROMEL Costruzioni, a company that has developed throughout the mechanical processing sector as a high precision mechanical industry for the construction of prototypes and small production series. THE PRODUCTS ARE INTENDED FOR THE SECTORS: Energy Automotive Pharmaceutical Space Defense. MANUFACTURED MATERIALS ARE MANY: Steel Stainless steel Copper alloys Special alloys (INVAR, stellite) Aluminum alloys (anticorodal, ergal)  

DESIGN FOR THE RAILWAY SECTOR We operate in the transport sector offering design services and products such as control units for fire protection systems. control unit for fire-fighting systems. Since 2004 PROMEL cooperates with one of the most important manufacturer of rail vehicles by providing design service. Some of the activities performed are:preparation of electrical schematic and wiring tables;study of electrical cables routing (in 2D and in 3D) and study of the related mechanical subjects: definition of brackets and 3D study for protecting cables under floor (also in proximity of the bogie). Have been carried out various analyses of the behaviour of the bogie, taking into account the conditions of maximum use, for identifying any interference with the adjacent wiring. The assembly drawings of the side skirts have been developed.study for placing pieces of furniture and plants or part of plants (toilet, water tank, battery case, …) in the carbody structure and under-floor;study of car sealing;development of the skirts through the definition of various parts (side skirts, bottom plates, under frame enclosures beams) and their mounting;study of air ducting systems;development of a fire protection frame to be installed at the car’s extremity, around the gangway door; this frame is able to prevent, for a defined time, the fire propagation in the car. Within this study activities has been developed the mounting of the gangway doors.The design activities are developed with Autocad (for 2D drawing) and several programs for 3D drawing: Inventor, Catia, Creo.
