EXTREMELY STRONG ADHESIVE STRENGTH GraviFlex® Magnetic Foil 190

product

The GraviFlex® 190 magnetic foil offers an extraordinary number of possibilities for technical use. With a coloured coating, printed or self-adhesive finish, customised drawing parts can be produced without tools. This type of magnetic foil scores with its very high adhesive force. The GraviFlex® product family includes various types of magnetic foil that can be used in a wide range of technical applications. The "strongest" magnetic foil universalist is the single-sided multi-pole magnetised magnetic foil type 190. The magnetic foil consists of a mixture of neodymium-iron-boron powder (NdFeB) and an elastic, thermoplastic binder. The NdFeB magnetic foil is designed for application areas with temperature tolerances from -40 °C to +100 °C, and has considerable magnetic holding forces. For example, magnetic film 190 has a magnetic holding force of 630 g/cm2 with a material thickness of 2.0 mm!  Thanks to these properties, product developers, designers and engineers can use GraviFlex® Magnetic Sheet 190 for technically demanding applications. It is an alternative to ceramic permanent magnets, for the production of which sintering tools usually have to be made and which, because they are very brittle and hard, can only be reworked mechanically with great effort. GraviFlex® magnetic foil 190, on the other hand, is very easy to process and can be cut and punched without any problems. GraviFlex® magnetic foil 190 is therefore particularly suitable for the cost-effective production of small batches of magnetic moulded parts, e.g. prototypes for use in development, production and assembly. GraviFlex® magnetic foil 190 is not only available as a semi-finished product in lengths of up to 1000 mm and widths of up to 300 mm, it can also be used to produce magnetic strips, rings, circles and customer-specific magnetic drawing parts. In order to protect sensitive surfaces or components, e.g. during transport on conveyor belts, the non-magnetic side of the magnetic foil can be additionally laminated, e.g. with felt, and if required it can be provided with a self-adhesive layer. TWO STRONG SIDES GraviFlex® Magnetic Sheet 200

product

The magnetic foil 200 from the GraviFlex® series is not only a versatile problem solver for production, workshop and office, but also a high-quality semi-finished product for the dimensionally accurate production of double-sided magnetic mouldings. It scores with a high adhesive force and a heat resistance of up to 200° C. In the GraviFlex® product family, Magnetic Sheet 200 plays a special role, as it is characterised by three very advantageous properties: It is permanently magnetic on both sides, has an impressive adhesive force of 130 g/m2 and can even withstand temperatures of up to 200° C for short periods. Permanently, it is designed for application temperatures of 120° C.  Thanks to these features, Magnetic Sheet 200 is a universal problem solver for many tasks in product development, construction, production, office, laboratory and logistics. When painting metallic surfaces, for example, it serves as an easy-to-handle, heat-resistant cover. In intralogistics, it is used to fix metallic workpieces on conveyor belts, and in open-air warehouses, the magnetic film 200, provided with a QR code, marks the machine housings that are already protected with stretch film, to name just three typical applications from industrial practice. Untreated or coated The GraviFlex® Magnetic Sheet 200 is basically available both in a raw, untreated version and in a variant with colour-coated and printed surfaces. If the front and back sides are coloured, the magnetic foil can be used, for example, in production, in the warehouse or in administration for numerous visualisation tasks and information signs, where the user can take advantage of its double-sided magnetic adhesion - for example, to create reversible symbols with status indications that are visible from afar (red = stop/green = release). In addition, the surfaces of the GraviFlex® Magnetic Sheet 200 can be provided with writable whiteboard foils or customer-specific printed foils. Simple cutting and punching  Another advantage of GraviFlex® Magnetic Sheet 200 is that it is easy to process mechanically. For example, it can be cut and punched very easily, either manually or mechanically. For this reason, the foil is not only supplied as a 610 mm wide semi-finished product on a roll (run length up to 15 m), but it is also used to produce moulded parts according to customer-specific requirements. This is how, among other things, ready-to-install flat magnetic elements and narrow magnetic strips are produced, which are used in sensor technology, in the production of micromotors or also for fixing in 3D printing. Since it is permanently magnetic on both sides, the magnetic foil 200 can also take on bonding functions. And if the application requires it, the magnetic foil 200 can be laminated with a protective foil or felt to protect sensitive surfaces. A version with a self-adhesive layer is also possible. VERSATILE MATERIAL for 2D mouldings Magnetic rubber 150/180

product

With the magnetic rubber 150/180, Schallenkammer Magnetsysteme offers an extremely flexible material solution for the production of magnetic moulded parts and components. The anisotropic material made of a rubber-like polymer with embedded strontium ferrite powder can be easily machined and is an inexpensive alternative to ceramic magnets. It has high holding power, achieves long service lives and is resistant to ozone, water vapour and diluted chemicals. Contactless contactors, covers for painting work, catching systems above conveyor belts and fastening elements are among the typical products made from Schallenkammer's magnetic rubber 150/180. Wherever rings, strips or surfaces with a high magnetic holding force are required, the material, which is available in sheet and tape form, is a highly interesting solution. It can be punched, drilled, sawn and cut (also by water jet) without splintering (!), proves to be highly resistant to weathering and ageing and is insensitive to ozone, water vapour and diluted acids and alkalis. In many cases, the flexible material is an inexpensive alternative to ceramic magnetic materials. Schallenkammer offers its magnetic rubber 150/180 in two variants: Type A has magnetisation axially aligned across the height (thickness) and is supplied in blanks with widths of 140 mm; Type C, on the other hand, has a single-sided multipole surface magnetisation and is available in blanks with widths of 440 mm. The length of the sheets or strips can reach up to 2500 mm; the standard stock length is 1040 mm. The thicknesses range from 1.5, 2.5, 3.0 to 8.0 mm in eight gradations. Semi-finished or finished part Schallenkammer supplies the magnetic rubber 150/180 as a prefabricated semi-finished product or manufactures 2D moulded parts from it according to customer requirements - also with coloured film coatings and adhesive film. Even individual geometries can be realised very economically in small quantities. And for those who require particularly high adhesive forces for their application, the moulded parts made of magnetic rubber 150/180 type C can also be provided with an iron backing made of sheet steel. With a material thickness of 2.0 mm, this doubles the holding force of the material from 75 g/m2 to 155 g/m2 ! Schallenkammer's magnetic rubber 150/180 is suitable for applications with continuous temperatures of up to 100° C and can also withstand short peak temperatures of up to 150° C. If this value is exceeded for a longer period of time, the magnetic rubber can be used as a magnet. If this value is exceeded for a longer period of time, the material loses its flexibility and begins to solidify (bakelisation). The material is non-toxic and complies with the European standard EN71/3. Buy magnet systems such as pot magnets, flat grippers or bar grippers in the online shop

product

In our online shop you will find magnet systems, flat grippers, bar grippers and pot magnets of all types, which offer you a wide range of application and fastening options.  https://www.schallenkammer.de/magnetsysteme.html Choose between pot magnets with through hole, magnet systems with external thread, with internal thread or flat grippers with low overall height. The cylindrical magnet systems or bar grippers are supplied with and without internal thread as well as with fit tolerance h6. Each of the above magnets is available in different sizes and with different holding forces. Hard ferrite, samarium cobalt (SmCo), AlNiCo 500 or neodymium (NdFeB) are used as the magnetic core. The magnetic force depends on the material of the magnetic core. Neodymium, is currently the strongest permanent magnet available with outstanding properties in terms of remanence and energy density. This means that pot magnets can be used where a strong magnetic field is required with a small size.  A galvanised metal housing brass housing or a stainless steel housing protects the magnet core from environmental influences. In addition, the holding force of the magnet is focused by the housing and directs the magnetic forces concentrated onto the holding surface. The stainless steel housing is suitable for applications with special regulations, as it is resistant to most chemicals and can also withstand higher temperatures.  Flat grippers without a hole or thread can be glued or pressed into the holes provided.  Magnet systems with internal threads can simply be screwed to the mating thread.  Pot magnets with through hole and countersink can be fastened with a cylinder head screw or with a countersunk screw.  The magnet systems with threaded bush or the magnet systems with external thread can be equipped with a handle, with a fastening hook or with eyelets.  Do you want to attach the magnets to a non-magnetic surface, such as wood or plastic? For this, it is best to use metal discs as magnetic adhesion surfaces. They can simply be glued on or fastened to the desired surface with a screw. Metal discs with a stop edge prevent the magnet from slipping vertically if the load is too high.  Do you need special solutions outside our standard products?  Contact us | +49 9367 98977-0 | together we will find a solution.
