BME-International has currently nine B2B events scheduled for 2023. We actively and efficiently support BME buyers with their challenges in the area of diversification, Local4Local or supply alternatives. Registered buyers can analyze detailed supplier profiles for Sourcing Day Hungary (115), Purchasing Initiative Western Balkans (218), CEE Procurement & Supply Forum (120) and Purchasing Initiative Maghreb (86). "This means that more than 500 suppliers with various competencies are already available on the platform, and the supplier search carried out by our partners for B2B events is still ongoing," said Olaf Holzgrefe, Head of International at BME.

In January 2023, BME launched its online B2B project platform www.bmematchmaking.com. The aim of the platform is to organize B2B matchmaking for buyers, suppliers and partners in a more efficient and precise way. After only 6 months, it is clear that the path the BME has taken is the right one. Over 200 buying companies have registered in the first 6 months. Over 1,000 suppliers have already submitted their detailed company profiles and registered for B2B events. "Anyone who still wants to participate in the matchmaking events in 2023 can still do so," Olaf Holzgrefe continues. In addition to the event in Hungary, two purchasing initiatives and CEE Procurement & Supply Forum in Krakow, a sourcing BME delegation to Turkey is yet another event on the BME-International schedule planned for December 2023.

Apart from the established B2B matchmaking, BME platform offers other services too. Buyers can conduct various benchmarks at BME-Research or have their purchasing certified in the areas of sustainability or innovation. Furthermore, BME has created BME Code of Conduct (CoC), which is part of the BME Compliance Initiative, a tool that was updated in 2023 following the enactment of the Law on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (LkSG). BME Code of Conduct supports companies in protecting themselves against risks and subsequently documenting it with a seal.
