14th – 15th November 2023 | Krakow | B2B matchmaking, networking and information

New suppliers for new supply chain challenges. New suppliers for diversification. Solutions to questions in regards to Local4Local or nearshoring. Or just an intensive exchange between buyers and suppliers. For the 9th time, the BME CEE Procurement and Supply Forum offers national and international buyers the opportunity to meet qualified suppliers. Whether it’s B2B, networking or information, on 15th November, a platform will be provided for your supply chain challenges in a new and modern location in Krakow.
"We know that purchasing continues to be challenged," says Olaf Holzgrefe, Head of International at BME , "and the overall difficulty remains in the medium term. Because whether it's digitization, pricing, new technologies or sustainability, all of these issues require close connection to opportunities in procurement markets. This is where we aim to provide support." Together with its partners, German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs), BME CEE Procurement and Supply Forum has been suporting German companies in the market development for years. With over 1,500 participants and well over 1,000 B2B meetings held, the event demonstrates the diverse potentials in Europe and Eastern Europe.
The interest in the event shows that it is worth a look. More than 40 purchasing organisations and German companies have already expressed their interest on the BME's matching platform www.bmematchmaking.com. The companies will decide whether they will meet with suppliers in Krakow after reviewing their potential. "Our goal is to facilitate effective and qualified meetings for both purchasers and producers.
The forum offers the opportunity to meet suppliers from 14 Eastern European countries in one place”, says Lisa Immensack, Senior Project Manager at BME and the expert in B2B matchmaking. The Forum also looks to the future. Together with the European Innovation Council (EIC), selected start-ups will present themselves in pitches. "And we are planning to collaborate with the European Business Association Ukraine (EBA) to work towards building a foundation for tomorrow, even for Ukrainian companies during difficult times," Olaf Holzgrefe continues.
In addition to supplier search, insights into the current situation will also be provided. Mirela Senica (EMEA Head of Procurement for Client Relations and Sourcing, IBM) and Simon Wollenschläger (Director Parts & Components Global Purchasing, SCHERDEL Group) will report on their challenges. Further speakers are currently being coordinated. Some buyers from the mechanical engineering, plant construction and automotive industries have already made fixed plans to attend the event. The event’s core focus is on production materials, drawing parts and steel, metal, plastic, and more. "But we are also looking beyond the immediate horizon," Lisa Immensack continues, "especially since the new B2B platform www.bmematchmaking.com offers buyers, suppliers and us many more possibilities."
And for those for whom B2B matchmaking, networking and information is not yet enough: On 14th November, the 9th CEE Porcurement & Supply Forum traditionally starts with a networking event and reception in a fantastic setting.
