On the 6th of December, the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME) and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) of the Western Balkan states, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), will once more invite buyers and suppliers to Face2Face matchmaking in Germany. Together with the Stuttgart Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Stuttgart) and the AHKs, the BME's largest B2B event will again offer German buyers the opportunity to hold direct talks with suppliers pre-selected by the purchasing departments. The offer is aimed at German buyers only. Do you still want to take part? Contact us at [email protected]
BME Purchasing Initiative, commissioned by BMWK as part of the Market Development Programme, is BME's largest matchmaking event. Since 2015, over 3,000 B2B meetings have successfully taken place as part of the event. The core of the initiative is the B2B matchmaking on 6 December, to which only suppliers selected by the buyers have access. At the Purchasing Initiative 2019 BME welcomed 50 German companies, 140 suppliers and scheduled over 700 B2B meetings.
“Especially in the current challenging times, this B2B event offers not only a comprehensive market overview in the field of production materials, but also direct access to suppliers from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo. Currently, more than 25 German companies have confirmed their participation, in total we are expecting over 30.", says Lisa Immensack, Senior Project Manager at BME.
The list of participating buyers is long. In addition to numerous SMEs, companies such as Voith Turbo, Kirchhoff Automotive, Syntegon Technology, Dürr Systems, Continental, SMS Group and Purem by Eberspaecher have also confirmed their participation. "The potential is enormous," says Olaf Holzgrefe, Head of International at BME, "and we know from our AHK partners that many suppliers are looking forward to the event."
For more than eight years, the cooperation between BME and AHKs in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Albania and Montenegro has been running smoothly. AHK Serbia is in charge of contacting suppliers on site. "Good teamwork is a key to success," continues Olaf Holzgrefe. BME and AHK are expecting well over 450 B2B-discussions in Stuttgart again. "The event shows the potential of the region and it is an active contribution of BME and AHK on behalf of the Ministry (BMWK) to reveal potential, build bridges and actively meet the current challenges."
The B2B event starts with an evening event on 5 December, also on the premises of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
